How it works
The mechanism of action involves the temporary blockade of acetylcholine release at the neuromuscular junction. By binding to nerve endings in the target muscles, Innotox prevents the nerve signals that cause muscle contraction. This induced chemodenervation results in localized muscle relaxation. Consequently, the overlying skin appears smoother, and the formation and persistence of dynamic facial wrinkles, such as glabellar lines, are significantly reduced for a temporary period.

Innotox 100U is indicated for the temporary improvement in the appearance of moderate to severe glabellar lines associated with corrugator and/or procerus muscle activity in adult patients. It is also widely used off-label by qualified practitioners for other dynamic facial rhytids, including horizontal forehead lines and lateral canthal lines (crow's feet).
