Rejuran S features a higher viscosity, making it suitable for providing a structural scaffold to repair depressed atrophic scars, such as those from acne. Rejuran I has a lower viscosity and is specifically formulated for the thin, sensitive skin of the periorbital region to address fine lines and improve tissue quality.
How it works
The polynucleotide chains in Rejuran act as biostimulators within the dermal layer. They create a supportive scaffold for tissue growth and signal fibroblasts to increase the production of collagen and elastin. This process, known as dermal regeneration, improves skin density, texture, and elasticity from a cellular level. PN also possesses anti-inflammatory properties and helps to normalize skin tissue by restoring the extracellular matrix (ECM).
Clinical indications
Rejuran S is indicated for the treatment of depressed acne scars, surgical scars, and other atrophic dermal defects, injected into the intradermal or subcutaneous layer directly beneath the scar. Rejuran I is indicated for the rejuvenation of the periorbital area, targeting fine lines (crow's feet), thinning skin, and texture irregularities. It is administered via micro-injections into the superficial dermis around the eyes.
